Northeast Heights:
Over sees Sandia and Manzano mountains to the Albuquerque's Northeast Heights.
Since the Rio Grande River also serves as a natural water boundary, a
major push in population in the past century has been to the east toward
the mountains. This section of Albuquerque is known
as the Northeast Heights and starts from the University of New Mexico
(UNM) east to the foothills of the Sandia Mountains, and from Central
Ave (old Route 66) north to Paseo Del Norte. The area's mountains allow
residents to choose from some of Northeast Heights's most valuable homes.
Much of the area has a desert cliement with picture perfect views of
the city lights. Homes range from the low $100's up to $2 million.
